Agreed. Enough with the sweetened hamburger buns. If i want sweat bread i will buy a donut.

Evans also don’t salt their hamburger patties enough or at all. I have had a few
bland burgers from them

I dont know if this was planned or completely by accident but they make the good chicken wings. Best i have had so far in Taipei.

My husband & I are Americans who lived in Verona for 3 yrs, becoming great friends with Fede and Ling. Fede cooks with love. They’ve come to our home in New Jersey and cooked for us there. In Verona Fede was a highly trained pastry chef at the most prestigious bakery in the city. At night he was the primary pizza creator at a pizzeria. Only been in Hsinchu a few times on business trips, so don’t really know the city and I have no idea about shops there, but thanks for the heads up.

I think I read through this whole post and did not see listed the store called “Orange Mart” (gan zai dian). There are two of them in hsinchu, where I work. They have a heavy focus on organic products and also have a number of imported dried goods. On the pricey side, same level as Jason’s.

Do you have any stores on your list for kitchen cabinets. I have searched the internet and find only one place in Hsinchu that sells cabinets. I am returning to Taipei in a couple of weeks and my girlfriend is trying to find new cabinets for our apartment.

I’m also looking for an over which I saw in your kitchen.
